Bartender Resume
Creating a killer bartender resume is like concocting a perfect cocktail—it’s equal parts art and science. All the ingredients must be combined in the correct order if you want to be a successful candidate for bartending jobs. To see how you can mix it up on your resume to help launch your career, view this bartender resume example that resume expert Kim Isaacs created.
Here's a hint to keep in mind as you begin writing: Demonstrate what you bring to the table. Meaning, don't simply list a bunch of traits that you think employers want to see. Go one step further by showing off those skills in action and use numbers whenever possible. Below, you can see that we included a section dedicated to bartender resume skills, but in the experience section, we gave examples of how those skills were applied on the job.
For example, we said the candidate built loyal customer relationships that translated into weekday beverage sales increasing by 23%; we also mentioned that excellent inventory management resulted in liquor costs being lowered by 5%. And don't forget to include the size of the bar(s) you've worked at, as well as the capacity, on your bartender resume. Hiring managers will appreciate the extra information.
