Cannabis Industry Jobs Are Rolling In

Looking for cannabis industry jobs? You're not alone. The times, they are a' changing—and quickly. About 91% of US adults say either that marijuana should be legal for medical and recreational use (60%) or that it should be legal for medical use only (31%). 

And after the 2020 election, additional states voted to legalize cannabis for adults 21 and over, while other states voted in favor of creating medical cannabis programs. Furthermore, during the coronavirus pandemic, many states deemed marijuana dispensaries essential services, which means they were allowed to stay open while other businesses were forced to close their doors.

With the growing acceptance of weed blowing through the country comes another change: We're seeing an influx of marijuana companies posting weed career opportunities on Monster.

Granted, most of these jobs in the weed industry are found where weed is legal. Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington—plus Washington DC, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands—have legalized marijuana for recreational use; more than half the states, plus the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have legalized marijuana for medical purposes. Expect to see more states adopting similar stances in the not too distant future.
